Sylvia Neal-Warren was born the youngest of six children to the late Oliver French and Flora E. Pauley Elkins at Joe's Creek in Boone County on December 8, 1927.

Sadly, Sylvia passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital after an emergency three day stay.

Sylvie, as her close friends called her, was a strong-willed, independent, cheerful person, always with a smile on her face.  She will be sadly missed by family, friends, neighbors, and fellow church parishioners.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all five of her siblings; her first husband, Don Neal; along with her second husband, Sony Warren.

Sylvie is survived by her son, Michael Neal (Sheila).

The family would like to especially thank "Team Sylvie's" home health care providers, who are Jessica Salmons, Krysta Swisher, Shawn Peters, and Sonjia Tyler.  These ladies sustained and nurtured Sylvie with tender love and care in the comfort of her home, for almost three years.  Thank you, ladies!

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Raymond Jordon of Bethany Baptist Church of St. Albans officiating.  Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.

Family will welcome visitors from 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 pm at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
