Tammy Renae Johnson, 51, of Leon, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2011, at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston after a long fought battle with breast cancer.
She was born on May 26, 1960, daughter of the late Franklin Delano and Carolyn Sue Cox of Charleston, who will be there to take her back into their arms to be with them in Heaven.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, loved camping and was never afraid to let you know what was on her mind.
Tammy is survived by her devoted husband, Rodney William Johnson of Leon; her sons, Rodney William Johnson, II and Jeffery Aron Johnson; daughter, Tiffany Diane Johnson, all from Leon; grandchildren, Destiny Keener, Jada Johnson, Logan Johnson and Josiah (JoJo) Johnson and many more who knew her as MaMa. Also surviving are brothers, Franklin Cox, Jr., of Pinch, Richie Cox of Kissimmee, FL; sister, Kathy Eskins of Hurricane and Vickie Cox of Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m., Monday evening, November 21, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Chaplain Pete Thompson officiating.
