Tammy Happney Oxley, 58, of South Charleston, West Virginia passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

Born on January 20, 1976 in Ripley, WV, she was the beloved daughter of Mark Happney and the late Bernice Tawney Happney.

Tammy graduated Ravenswood High School in 1985 before moving on to WVU Parkersburg.  She was a cook for Kanawha County Schools until her grandson was born. Tammy then devoted her time and love to staying home to help take care of him, her "pride and joy".

She enjoyed taking vacations to the beach, playing cards with friends, reading, shopping, getting her hair and nails done, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her mother, Tammy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clark and Beatrice Tawney, and Clara Happney.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 37 years, Gregory Oxley; her children, Kayla Oxley of South Charleston and Nicholas Oxley of Wallback; her sister, Kim Murray (Dean) of Ravenswood; her grandson, Wyatt; many nieces and nephews; and her very close friends, Sabrina "Beany", Suzi, and Cindy.
