Tara Suzanne Sisson, 40, of South Charleston, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019.

She was a 1998 graduate of South Charleston High School. Tara then went to West Virginia State College to earn her Realtor license. She worked at Mountaineer Glass Co. for the past 20 years, where she was accepted and loved just like family.

Tara was a true humanitarian, helping all those in need without any judgement. She was a loving and devoted mom, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to all.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Samuel Scarberry; and uncle, John Barry Fields.

Tara is survived by her two loving sons, Michael and Ryland; ex-husband, Frankie Sisson and his wife Christie of Alum Creek; parents, Greg and Cindy Pauley of South Charleston; grandmother, Jenny Scarberry of South Charleston; siblings, Gary Atkinson of South Charleston, Justin Atkinson and his wife, Diane of St. Albans, Cecil Davis of South Charleston, Tabitha Johnson and her husband Lucas of South Charleston, Samantha Atkinson and her significant other, Sean Bishop of Cross Lanes, and Chad Payne of South Charleston; uncle, Danny Scarberry and his wife, Connie of South Charleston; special cousins, Ellen, Shane, and Brooke Hensley and Jeremy Lloyd of South Charleston, D.R., Amanda, and CC Scarberry of South Charleston; nephew, Lathan Johnson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, August 16, in Sunset Memorial Park Chapel, South Charleston with Jim Burgess officiating.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the cemetery chapel.
