Obituary

Teddy "Ted" Stover, 82, of Poca, formerly of Ravenswood, passed away at Thomas Memorial Hospital on November 3, 2017 after a brief illness.

He was born November 9, 1934 in Dunbar, to the late Donald Stover and Freda Rawlings Selby.  Teddy was a 1952 graduate of Dunbar High School. He married the love of his life, Rachel DeWeese on December 27, 1956; 60 years ago.

Teddy was retired from Kaiser Aluminum/Century Aluminum in Ravenswood after 38 years of service.  He was an avid golfer, long time sports fan and enjoyed watching sports and following WVU.  Teddy was always a familiar face at the local baseball fields and gymnasiums. He enjoyed watching his grandson play baseball and basketball; always wearing his ball cap supporting the team.

He loved and was so proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren, spending time with family and talking with friends. Teddy was always a very caring person, always giving to charities and others.  He enjoyed lending a hand to help people and family.

In addition to his parents, Teddy was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie; stepmother, Virginia Stover; and stepfather, Ralph Selby.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel Stover; son, Bryan and wife, Lisa Stover, of Winfield; siblings, Donnie and wife, Peggy Stover of Dunbar, Jeannine and husband, Richard Randolph, of Point Pleasant, Ramona Stover of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Peyton Stover of Winfield, Amanda and her husband, Jeremy Sigley, of Summersville; great grandchildren, Quincy and Corey Sigley of Summersville; and son-in-law, Randy Bailey of Tyler Mountain.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 10, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking to make donations in Teddy's name to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908
