Obituary

Thelma Ophelia Rose 84, went home to be with the lord on September 22, 2021.

She was born April 09, 1937 to the late Jesse and Pearlene Motley Rose in Logan.

Thelma graduated from Dupont High School in 1955. She worked for the State of West Virginia for 30 years.

She played the alto saxophone for the Charleston Area Community Choir and was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and served as a van driver.

Thelma leaves behind her daughter, LaComa Rose; grandson, Santi' Rose; sisters, Joyce Haynes (Isadore), Deanna Collier and Christina Collier; brother, Sam Rose; goddaughter, Marie A. Mason; many nieces, nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Charleston with Pastor Marlon C. Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Spring Hill.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.

Masks will be required and all COVID-19 protocols will be followed.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
