Theodore Ray Hudson, 62, of Charleston passed away June 14, 2010, in the Hubbard Hospice House after a 23 month battle with Mesothelioma cancer.

He was a 1967 graduate of Dunbar High School, and had 37 years of service with Cyclops Industries of South Charleston.

He was preceded in death by father, Verl Peebles Hudson of Dunbar and step-father Harmon Erwin Mitchell of Dunbar.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon Lynn Cavender Hudson; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Hudson Greene and son-in-law Petty Officer First Class William E. Greene of Eure, North Carolina; step-daughter, Jessica Rae Cavender of Marietta Georgia; daughters still at home, Krista Rae-Lynn Hudson, Alexis RaeLynn and Alyssa Dawnelle Hudson; granddaughters, Jenna RaeLynn and Charlotte Dorn Greene of Eure, North Carolina, Alexandria Dominique Cavender and Adrian Michaela Cavender of Charleston; his mother, Inez Ruth Stump Hudson Mitchell of Dunbar; brothers, James Hudson and wife Annette of Dunbar, Thomas Hudson and wife Connie of Dunbar; nieces and nephews, Ashli and Addison Hudson, Nick Hudson and wife Sarah, Tiffany and Allison Hudson, Ricky and Ronnie Hall, Mica Green and Seth Swiney; very dear close friends, John and Kelly Cavender and his family.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staffs of Hospicecare and Hubbard Hospice House for their assistance and care during this difficult time.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 18, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Mike Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 17, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
