Thomas Coleman Allen Sr., 94, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

He was born on November 6, 1927 in Widen, to the late Major and Lora Allen.

Tom was a hard working and dedicated father, he loved his family and loved children. He will be greatly missed

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Allen; and son, Fred Allen.

Tom is survived by his children, Patsy Allen of Dunbar, Donald Allen and wife Pam of Teays Valley, Thomas Allen Jr., and wife Cherry of Hurricane, Sharon Strickland and husband Jessie of Hurricane; grandchildren, Billy Allen and wife Jackie of Chicago, IL, Kevin Allen of Pinch, Sherry Cook and husband Aaron of Madison, Amber Morgan and husband Todd of Hurricane, Jeremy Allen and wife Jessica of Charleston, Jessica White and husband Ben of Charleston, Troy Huffmaster of Virginia; sister, Alberta Allen of Cincinnati, OH; brother, Bill Allen of Cincinnati, OH; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 7, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Elmer Postalwait officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
