Thomas A. Martin, 87, of Elkview, departed this earth August 17, 2011.

He was a WW II Air Force veteran who proudly served his country. Mr. Martin retired from General Engineering. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Inez Martin; brother, Robert Martin and daughter, Baby girl Martin.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Norman T. Martin of Va, Thomas A. Martin and wife, Jewel of SC, Arnold G. Martin of SC, Robert E. Martin of IN, Elwood R. Martin and wife, Beth of OH; daughters, Sharon Lenox of OH, Dianna White and husband, Chris of OH, Pamela Boner and husband, Brian of WV, Vickie Martin and Missy of WV, Drema Harper and husband, William of WV, Daralene Duncan and husband, Freddie of WV; brothers, Larry A. Martin and wife, Ethel of WV, Elliott Martin & wife, Pam of WV, Russell Martin and wife, Sue of WV, Norman Martin and wife, Annabell of Fla. and Harold Martin and wife, Phyllis of WV; sisters, Deloris Keeling and husband, Bill of WV, Kate Allan of CA, Tunie White of Fla., Ruthy Payne and husband, Robert of WV and Debbie McVay of VA. Mr. Martin is also survived by a very special friend who was like a brother, Leo Barrett, 28 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 20, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Lee Swor officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
