Tiara Wyatt, affectionately known to all as Nikki went and answered God’s call home on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
She can into this world’s fight with all odds stacked against her. Born on September 11, 1981 in Toledo, Ohio, to Benjamin and Barbara Wyatt. She showed immense strength from day one, proudly passing every milestone she came up against.
As the baby and only girl among five brothers, Nikki held a special, fiercely protected place within the family. She was the baby and she absolutely would never let them forget it. Her childhood years were spent split between Jersey City, New Jersey, and Toledo, Ohio, before eventually settling in Columbus, Ohio with her mother. Anyone who knew Nikki knew she was a Buckeye for life. In 2012 Nikki moved to West Virginia, where she would spend the rest of her life.
Nikki was a devoted caregiver at heart. Though she had no biological children, she was a mother to all who crossed her path. She held a deeply special place in her heart for all children and animals; there was not a child who met her woh didn’t instantly fall in love. Nikki dedicated her life to being the absolute “best aunt in the world”. She had many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. She had a special and unique bond with each and every one of them, making them all feel special in one way or another. It was a title she lived up to every single day.
Nikki is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Wyatt; father, Benjamin Wyatt; and her brothers, Gaynor “Junior” Edwards and Tracy Wyatt.
Her love and vibrant memory will be cherished forever by her brothers, Brian “Tony” Edwards of Dunbar, Eugene Edwards (Cassandra) of Waukeganm IL, and Eric Wyatt of Phoenix, AZ; and Honorary Momma Doris of Rand; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, at Power House of Deliverance, Dunbar.
