Timothy Stewart
Walker
January 10, 1960 – October 16, 2023
Timothy Stewart Walker, 63, of Cottageville, WV, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2023, surrounded by family and friends following a long illness and battle with cancer.
A native of Charleston, WV, Tim was a man of many gifts and talents. Growing up, he played baseball for many years. He also loved to draw and sketch. Some say he missed his calling as a comedian because of his wit and ability to tell the funniest jokes and always make people laugh. A true artist, Tim was an amazing drummer and played in several local bands that led to him taking his talents across the country and overseas. His passion and love for music was evident every time he would sit behind a drum set. To watch him perform was inspiring. Tim also loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter since he was young. He was most at peace whenever he was sitting out on a lake or in a tree stand and surrounded by nature.
In his later years, Tim was baptized and rededicated his life to Christ and gave his heart to his Lord. Tim was a gentle soul with a kind heart and was a fun-loving guy who never met a stranger. He was affectionally known to his family and friends as Cosmo and Timbo. He will be missed sorely by all.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Henry Walker; daughter, Hannah Walker; brother, Terry Walker; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Walker of Charleston and Emily and Caylin Walker of Cottageville; grandchildren, Jazmyne, Cierra, J-zayvion, Nysiaha, Josslynn, Jaycee, Andre, Carson; mother, Patricia Walker; brother, Larry Walker (Mindy); sister, Crystal Walker; nieces, Madison and Brookelyn; nephew, Andrew, all of Dunbar; aunts, Norma Campbell of Morgantown and Pat Legg of Charleston; cousins, Cheryl Alexander, Gary Campbell and Alan Legg; and a host of loving family members and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life in Tim's honor will be held at 5 p.m. on October 27 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kellerfuneralhome.net.
