Tony Potesta, 82, of Charleston, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at Valley Center.
He was born August 21, 1929. He was a tailor at Kelly's Mens Shop for over 30 years and also worked at the Fas Chek on Charleston's west side. Tony was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a hard worker and never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosario and Carlotta Potesta; brothers, Pete, Silvi and Leo Potesta and by his son, Eric Potesta.
Tony leaves behind his daughter, Kim Pauley and her husband, Shawn of South Charleston and son, Tim Potesta also of South Charleston; grandchildren, Michael Potesta, Kelli Marshall and Joshua Pauley; great grandson, Mason Marshall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 24, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father James Kurtz officiating. Entombment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 23, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Valley Center, who took care of Dad for the last 4 ½ years due to Alzheimers.
