Trilby Vae Stewart, a devoted mother and beloved friend, passed away peacefully in her home on August 12, 2025, at the age of 87.

Trilby was the daughter of Archie and Alfred Green.  She was born and raised in the hills of West Virginia from 1938-2025.  Trilby embodied the strength, warmth, and kindness of her Appalachian roots.

She dedicated 27 years of her life to caring for others as a trusted employee of CAMC ( Charleston Area Medical Center) where she was respected and loved by coworkers and patients alike.  Trilby enjoyed traveling, bowling, and days spent by the lake.  Her legacy lives on in her daughters, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Trilby was preceded in death by nine of her thirteen siblings.

Trilby is survived by her three daughters, Joy Lawrence, Joyce Stewart, and Roberta Stewart; her five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; along with her loving siblings, Earl, Sammy, Bifert, and Sue.  Her love for her family was steady and unconditional.

She spent her last days in the company of her daughter, Joy, her granddaughter Erica, and great-granddaughters, Aireyonna and Shayla.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Family will welcome visitors one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
