Tula Winifred "Winnie" Harrison, 92, of Dunbar went home to be with her Lord January 14, 2015, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Goldtown, June 1, 1922, to parents Ethel Miller and Sanford L. Clendinen.
In 1943 she married her childhood sweetheart, Ronsford "Ted" Harrison, and they had two sons.
After high school, Winnie went to work at C&P Telephone Company for several years. After her husband's death, she went to work and retired from Trojan Steel.
Winnie was a long time member of Roxalana Gospel Tabernacle. She loved going to church and truly loved her church "family". She enjoyed western square dancing, and was an active member of the Unicorners Single Square Dance Club for many years. She also enjoyed bowling on her league.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Jeff; sister, Sylvia Watson; and brother, Jarrell A. Clendinen.
Winnie is survived by her son, Tommy and his wife Janice of Kenna; daughter-in-law, Aneta Harrison of Sissonville; brother, Denver Clendinen of Kenna; sisters, Nova Casto and Dolly Harpold of Kenna; grandchildren, Matt of Kenna, Scott, Brian, and Emily of Sissonville; 5 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Zach, Talon, Madi, and Chloe.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to her special friends, Roy Edens, Sonya Hill and Betty Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 17 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Tom Price officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Gardens of Memories, Sissionville.
Friends may call on hour prior to the service on Saturday at Keller Funeral Home.
