Uriah J. Young's Obituary
Uriah J. Young, 87, of Dunbar, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009, at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation for Dunbar.
He was a retired accountant for Pugh Furniture and was a US Army veteran of WW II. Mr. Young was a member of the Gideons and the Dunbar Mountain Mission Church. He had been a Dunbar resident for 55 years. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and a good Christian man.
Preceding him in death was his loving wife, Loma Faye Young.
Surviving are his sons, Harold Young and his wife, Deborah of NC and Lee R. Young and his wife, Carolyn of Cross Lanes. Also surviving are his granddaughter, Amber Sargent and her husband, James of Dunbar; great grandson, Matthew Sargent of Dunbar; step-grandchildren, Nikki Grigsby of Cross Lanes and Shawn Simmons of Franklin, KY; step-great grandchildren, Kelsey and Jacob Grigsby of Cross Lanes.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 19, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Pastor James H. Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
