Vance Runion, 84, of South Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 9, 2019.

He was born on October 28, 1935, in Buffalo, to the late Frank and Maggie Runion.

Vance was formerly employed at Smith Transfer for 24 years. He was a good husband and good father. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, daughter, Diana Tinsley; granddaughter, Ashleigh Runion; great-grandson, Weston Runion; and 11 brothers and sisters.

Vance is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lenora Runion; sons, Terry Vance Runion (Missy) of St. Albans, Daniel Runion of Leon, Richard Runion (Connie) of South Charleston; grandchildren, Shane Runion (Jessie) of Portsmouth, OH, Kayla Petry (Jimmy) of Winston Salem, NC, Danielle Berford (Seth) of Rock Branch, Max Runion of Spencer; and great-grandchildren, Katheryn Berford and Ashtin Berford.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, West Virginia Mausoleum Chapel, Cross Lanes, with Deacon Rich Edwards officiating.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
