Vernon Lee Whitt, 47, of Dunbar, passed away July 8, 2006 at his home.

He was a US Marine Corp veteran and was a former employee of American Electric Power.

Surviving are his father, Vernon Whitt of Beckley; brothers, Jeffrey Haynes and his fiancé, Emily Gunter of Charleston, Randy Haynes of Jacksonville, Fla; sister, Debra Lynn Bird and her husband, Richard of Barboursville; nephew, Elijah Haynes of Charleston; niece and nephew, Ricky & Jennifer Byrd of Barboursville and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 17, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Franklin Goff officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.
