Vesta Harris' Obituary
Vesta Greenlee Harris,85, of Dunbar passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 after a short illness.
She was a long time member of Dunbar First Baptist Church. Vesta retired from PM Enterprises. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Harris; parents, Millard and Pearl (Papa & Mama) Greenlee; sisters, Norma Stewart, Edna Knapp, Hazel Scrieber, Belva McClure, Freda Stewart, Thelma Dunlap; Brothers, Harry, Delbert and Ronald Greenlee.
Vesta is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Phil) Sampson of Teays Valley and Glenna ( Randy) Lawing of Dunbar; brother, Dorsel Greenlee of Dunbar; granddaughters, Krista (Chris) Legg of Winfield, and Jodi (Sean) Walsh of Nitro; great grandchildren, Alicia and Chris (Peanut) Quentin; two step grandsons; six step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, at Keller Funeral Home with Reverend Phil Shields officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
Flowers are accepted or donations can be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Ave., Charleston, WV 25311 or Dunbar First Baptist Church, 16th St. and Myers Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064.
