Victoria "Vicki" Louise Garnett, 74, of Charleston left this world on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 after a long illness.

She was born in Charleston, West Virginia where she resided her entire life.

Vicki was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, and was retired from JC Penney.  Vickie fought a 20-year battle with illness. Prior to the time, she was strong, vibrant, very direct, and hard-working.  She loved slat water taffy and all animals, especially cows.  Vicki never learned to drive and walked or rode the bus everywhere.  She delighted in decorating her home for various holidays, going to the beach, hanging out with her family and friend, playing cards, games, and laughing.  Even after she could no longer live alone, she made the best of taking residence in her last home at Meadowbrook Acres where, although sometimes known to be "salty", she loved the staff like her family and called it "home".  When her time came to go with God, she was ready.  She will be greatly missed, but comfort is found in that she is finally pain free and ever joyous in her new home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Betty Garnett.

Vicki is survived by her son, Jason Crookshanks of St. Albans; grandson and light of her life, Liam Crookshanks; step-grandchildren, Bailey Short, Brennen Dye, Grayson Dye, Ava Dye along with their parents Anthony and Debbie of St. Albans; and long-time adopted grandchildren, Brennan and Reagan Fields of Charleston; and her dearest friend of 27 years, Karen Fields whom she loved like a daughter.
