Violet Pauline Miles' Obituary
Violet Pauline Miles, 72, of Nitro, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at her home after an extended illness.
She was a graduate of Poca High School and was a retired office and warehouse manager for Safety Supply of America, with 30 years of service. Mrs. Miles was a member of the Rock Branch Independent Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Lee Miles and grandson, Christopher A. Miles.
Mrs. Miles is survived by her husband, Glen C. Miles; sons, Johnnie R. Miles and his wife, Rene of Columbia, Ms. and G. Duane Miles and his wife, Precy of Suffolk, VA; daughter, Teresa L. Black of Cross Lanes; brothers, Leonard L. Whittington of Cross Lanes and Kenneth R. Whittington of Greenwood, SC; sister, Sandra Adkins of Scott Depot. Also surviving are grandchildren, Brittany J. Black, Hayley R. Black and Matthew D. Miles and one great granddaughter, Kaia L. Miles.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 16, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Delbert Hawley officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to HospiceCare, 1143 Dunbar Avenue, Dunbar, WV, 25064 or to the American Cancer Society, 301 RHL Boulevard, Charleston, WV.
