Virginia "Jenny" M. Evans, 82, of Dunbar WV, surrounded by her loving family, was received into the warm embrace of her heavenly Father on January 3, 2016.

She was married to the former Lucian (Gene) Evans, Sr. of Drennen, WV.

Jenny is survived by daughters, Debra E. Snyder and husband, Gregg Snyder, Stafford, VA and Chris Wade and husband, Rusty Wade, Crewe, VA; son, William (Bill) Evans, Franklin, VA; stepson, Lucian E. Evans Jr., Chester, PA and wife, Ronnie; grandchildren, Venice Evans, Bob Summers, Leah Ferguson, Jennifer McCrossin, Ada Wade, Timothy Evans Jr., Melissa Harrison, Nicole Graham, Will Evans II and Amanda Orcutt; great grandchildren, Taylor and Stephen Summers, Aria Ferguson, Hailey Wade; Ava and Mia Orcutt, Kinley Harrison, Sarah and Mackenzie Evans, Tara Cardle, and Ethan Graham. Jenny's surviving brothers, George and Robert Johnson; and sisters, Libby Scott and Pat Cook.

Jenny worked at General Electric in Portsmouth, VA and Southland Industries in Virginia Beach, VA.

Jenny is preceded in death by her father, Golden Johnson, mother, Rosa B. Johnson, brothers, Edsel, Jessie, Leo and Theodore Johnson, and sisters, Bessie L. Korecky, Mazie J. Stewart, Lucille M. Gatewood, and sons, Timothy L. Evans and Robert W. Evans.

She cherished her family and was an avid reader and lover of all things related to storytelling.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
