Virginia Marie Blaylock Fulks, 80, of Charleston, passed away Friday, May 4, 2007 at her home, with her family surrounding her, after a very long illness.
She was employed by the Kanawha County Board of Education, having worked as a cook at Weberwood Elementary School. She retired in 1992 after 23 years of service.
She was born January 22, 1927, the seventh of twelve children of the late Hiram Lewis Means and Mary Elizabeth Comer Means. Virginia was married to the late Corbett "Bunny" Blaylock for thirty years and then to the late Harold "Moe" Fulks until his death in 1981.
She is survived by three daughters, Jenny Lee Walls and her husband, Hobie of Charleston, Nancy Ann Sarrett and her husband, Tommy of Dunbar and Mary Frances Sigmon and her husband, Jimmy of Charleston. She has one surviving sister, Wanda Miller of Charleston. Also surviving are her ten grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 7, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Randy Camp officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park.
