Virginia Ruth Jacobs, 87, of Cross Lanes, went home to be with the Lord on November 3, 2021 after battling a short illness.

Psalm 71:23 "My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed."

Ruth loved being outdoors and spent most of her time tending to her yard and garden. She also enjoyed sewing and painting or spending time with her family. Ruth attended Northside Church of the Nazarene. She will be greatly missed by so many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lula Smith; three brothers; five sisters; and husbands, Richard A. Wilson and James E. Jacobs.

Ruth is survived by her sister, Anne Fisher; daughter, Ruthann (Terry) Payne; sons, Richard (Sue) Wilson and Douglas (Edra) Wilson; grandchildren, Cathi (Jay) Sparks, Terri Davis, Douglas Ray (Tracy) Wilson, Zachary (LeAnna) Wilson,Brandi (Patrick) Edwards, and Jessica (Josh) Gross; great-grandchildren, Thomas (Lindsey) Davis, Logan (Danny) Ferro, Travis (Karly) Davis, Christian Sparks, Tianna and Tyler Davis, Mckenzie and Dakota Wilson, Kairi Edwards, Grace and Luke Wilson, and Olivia and William Gross; and great-great-grandchildren, Rowen and Jack Davis, and Hayden Ferro.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor John Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
