Virginia Parcell's Obituary
Virginia Tyo Parcell, born November 30, 1916 in Braxton County, WV, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010.
She was the daughter of the late Eli and Emma Tyo and was the last surviving member of her family, having survived four brothers and six sisters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Corliss Parcell, son, Philip Parcell and her granddaughter, Shari.
Virginia was a long time member of the former Calvary United Methodist Church in Dunbar. She was a graduate of the Elliott School of Business and retired from the WV State Supreme Court in 1963. Virginia was respected and loved very much by her family.
She is survived by daughters, Karen Gothard of Ashburg, Va., Jayne Sigmon of Herndon, Va. and Gail Hanna of South Charleston; son, John Parcell of Dunbar. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 27, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
