Virginia Vaughn's Obituary
Virginia Waugh Vaughn, born on February 1, 1923, of Cross Lanes, passed away on July 18, 2016, after a long illness.
She enjoyed spending time at her "second home," Mardi Gras Casino and Resort. She also cherished her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, William L. and Burga Bailey Slater; her first husband, Paul L. Waugh I; her second husband, G.E. Vaughn; three brothers; two sisters; and great-grandchildren, Bailey Scott Withrow and Luke Alexander Thompson.
She is survived by her sons, Chester "Butch" Waugh (Karen) of St. Albans and David L. Waugh (Gail) of Charleston; grandchildren, Paul L. Waugh (Christina), Sara Withrow, and Courtney Ferrell; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. A private family burial will be held at a later time. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at Keller Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
