Vronnia "Bunny" Marie Gladwell, nee Downs, 80, of Spring Hill passed away Saturday May 5th, 2018 at Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center in Elkins.
Bunny was a selfless, caring and loving person. She dedicated her life in caring for others, including all the members of her family and all her patients during her many years of work at CAMC. Bunny was ever willing to give anything she had to those who asked. She showered all those around her with love and affection. Her grandchildren remember her as the best Grandmother any child would be lucky to have. She rededicated her life to Jesus Christ later in life and was a member of Dunbar Mountain Mission.
Bunny was the daughter of Samuel Curtis Downs and Emma (Kinder) Downs who preceded her in death.
Along with her parents, Bunny was preceded in death by her beloved son, William "Billy" Gladwell; sisters, Rose Bryant, Betty Meadows, Nettie Joann Scarberry, and Delores Davis; brothers, Morris "Bub" Downs and Robert Downs.
Surviving are her brother, Samuel Ray Downs of Spring Hill; son, Jeffrey Lou Gladwell and wife, Valinda, of Valley Bend; granddaughter, Erica Marie Gladwell of Elkins; grandson, William Brent Gladwell and wife, Jessie, of Huttonsville; and great-granddaughters, Josie Marie, Rylee Brooke, and Baileigh Rose Gladwell of Huttonsville. Also surviving is step-grandson, Kelly Lanham and wife, Bridget, of Mill Creek; step-granddaughter, Angela Lanham and husband, Michael, of Huttonsville; step-great grandchildren, Braeden, Lilly, and Elliott Lanham; and honorary grandson, Richie Rosencrance.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Ray Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
