W. Archie Taylor, 88, of Dunbar, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2006, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.

He was a carpenter and worked in the construction industry, having owned Taylor Built Homes. Mr. Taylor was responsible for the building of many beautiful homes in the area. He was a former member of the Elks Club and the Home Builders Association.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Monroe Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Drucilla "Micki" Taylor; daughter, Karin Taylor Preston and her husband Charles M. of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Fontaine M. Taylor, Bethalene Taylor Stewart and her husband, Roy G. and Erma L. Taylor Pickens all of Charleston; sister-in-law, Inez C. Moore Taylor of Charleston; nephews, James G. Stewart of Ohio and John Andrew Pickens of Burleson, Tx; nieces, Sue Pickens Thompson of Nashville, Tn and Martha L. Neill of Charleston.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Doyle D. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
