Walter "Pete" Marlen Shirkey, 77, of Charleston, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022.

He was born on September 27, 1944 in Kanawha County, to the late Winifred and Anna Mae Shirkey.

Pete was a good hearted person who was always there for anyone who needed him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his five brothers; and his five sisters.

Pete is survived by his sister, Wanda Wilson and husband Claude of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m on Wednesday, March 16, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
