Wanda Gaye Harless, 76, of St. Albans, WV, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024, after battling a prolonged illness.

She was born on August 10, 1948, in Culloden, WV, to the late Harley and Thelma Clark.

She grew up in Hurricane along with seven siblings, attending Hurricane High School, and graduating in 1966.   Wanda was a dedicated and loving mother of three sons and cherished her time with family and friends, never passing up the opportunity for visits or phone calls.  She was creative and talented, and enjoyed crocheting, quilt making, and painting, along with occasionally sculpting and working with other crafts.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harley, and mother, Thelma.

Wanda is survived by her children, Herman R. Harless Jr. (Tina), Adam T. Harless (Drema), and Joshua A. Harless; one granddaughter, Catlyn Atkins; and one great-grandson, Jaxson Dorsey; along with Herman R. Harless, Sr. all of St. Albans; brothers, Gary, Mike, and Steve Clark; sisters, Carol Fizer, Tammy Chapman, Teresa Adkins, and Traci Clark all of Hurricane; along with many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff of Thomas Memorial Hospital and Riverside Nursing, for their compassion and dedication to Wanda during her time there.

There are no services scheduled at this time.  A celebration of life for Wanda is planned for the near future with family and close friends.
