Wanda Irene Spaniol, 66, of Dunbar, died unexpectedly on June 25, 2011.
She was a loving wife, mother of three children, and grandmother of four grandchildren, and four grandpets. Wanda worked at Thomas Memorial Hospital for 25 years. She started out as a staff nurse and finished her career as head of central supply. In her spare time, her favorite places to visit were Mountaineer Stadium and Oak Island, NC.
At 19 years old, she eloped with Craig Spaniol, and hid it from her parents; they were together until her death. He was instrumental in her rehab and recovery from neck fractures and a stroke last year, and hip fractures in 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Sybil Stover.
Mrs. Spaniol is survived by her husband, Craig Spaniol; children and spouses, Mary and Ronnie Harvey, G.C. and Melissa Spaniol, Michael Spaniol; grandchildren, Adam Harvey, Ron Harvey, and fiancé, Caitlin Wallace, David Harvey, Trucker Buckley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Floyd Sigman, Nancy and Jimmy Janosik.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 28 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Greg Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
