Wayman Allen Poe's Obituary
Wayman Allen Poe, 54, of Cross Lanes, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008, after an extended illness.
He was a retired dorm parent at the WV Rehabilitation Center with 30 years of service. Mr. Poe was also a volunteer fireman for over 30 years. He served his country with the US Army in Vietnam.
Surviving are his wife, Lucy Poe; son, George A. Poe of Hurricane; daughter, Alishia Lindsey of Alabama; mother, Ruth P. Buckalew of Dunbar; sister, Beryl Jean Poe of Dunbar. Mr. Poe is also survived by six grandchildren and 6 step sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 22, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor John Rollins officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, WV/Southeast Ohio Office, 1221-A Ohio Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064.
