Wayne Edward Fleshman, 84, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, surrounded by his family.

Wayne was born in Charleston on June 15, 1932. He was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School class of 1950. Wayne attended Morris Harvey College, where he proudly served as manager of a championship football team. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Wayne retired from Nationwide Insurance as a salesman. He pursed his passion for antiques as the proud owner of "Somewhere in Time Antiques" in Nitro.

He loved the Lord and attended church regularly. Wayne loved to help people and he loved a good deal. Most of all he loved his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but we rejoice in knowing his suffering is no more.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Grace Dunn (Jones) Fleshman; brothers, George D. Fleshman and Robert Fleshman; sisters, Helen Ripley and Betty Flick.

He is survived by his beautiful loving wife, Wanda Calhoun Fleshman; son, Wayne E. Fleshman, Jr.; daughters, Karen Fleshman Jenkins and husband, Rick, and Kelly Fleshman Shamblin and husband, Mark; stepsons, Archie David Calhoun and wife, Teresa, and Michael Douglas Calhoun and wife, Lisa Marie; stepdaughter, Donna Jo Calhoun Caston and husband, Mike; fifteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Gardens of Memories mausoleum with military honors by St Albans Honor Guard (American Legion Post 73 and VFW Post 6418).

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
