Wendell Ray Cavender, 80, of Dunbar, died at home on Thursday, February 20, 2025, after a short illness.

He was born on December 11, 1944 in Charleston, to the late Delmer and Elime Cavender.

Wendell was a 1962 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. He was a faithful attendee at Roxalana Gospel Tabernacle, Dunbar.

He is survived by his sister, Gail Miley; niece, Laura Hughes (Dave); great niece, Ella Grace Hughes; and long time girlfriend and best friend, Nesa Adams of Centerburg, OH.

Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 24, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
