William Eugene Casto, 67, of Charleston, passed away after a short bout with cancer on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

He was born on December 25, 1954 in Charleston, to the late William and Donna Casto.

Bill graduated from Dunbar High School in 1973. He was a lover of the Lord. He loved listening to music and was once in a band called Wishing Well. Bill loved his family and was a very giving person. He had a wicked sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Helen Casto; maternal grandmother, Agnes Akers; uncles, Danny Hunt and Jesse Akers; and aunts, Jane Akers, Lorene Sampson and Opal Sampson.

Bill is survived by his sisters, Angela Loudermilk of South Charleston, Roberta Vickers and husband Kevin of Liberty; aunts, Patricia Turkett of Covington, VA, Linda Southall and husband Max of Covington, VA, Ellen Redman and husband Gene of Kentuck, Barbara Ahlers of Pataskala, OH; great-aunt, Anna Fisher of Dunbar; nieces, Amanda Casto of Charleston, Cassidy Vickers of Liberty; nephews, Mark Loudermilk of South Charleston, Jamar Wright of South Charleston, William Vickers of Liberty; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank Prestera and Valley Center for their loving care. The family would also like to thank, Rick Martin, his room mate at Valley Center, for his kindness he showed to Bill. A special thanks to everyone for their prayers.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Kent Estep officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
