William E. Conner, 79, of Dunbar, passed away March 22, 2006 at Heartland of Charleston.
He was a retired millwright with Union Carbide and was a US Navy veteran of WW II, having been the recipient of three Purple Hearts.
Surviving are his wife, Loretta Conner; sons, James Edward Conner of CA and Joseph Floyd Conner of Whitesville; daughters, Barbara Ann Steele of Nitro, Helen Jean Brown of Poca; step-son, Arthur Shamblin of Charleston; step-daughters, Pam White of Georgia and Denise Pacifico of Charleston; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 25, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Keith Cobb and the Rev. Jack Maxwell officiating.
Burial with military rites provided by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin, will follow in Conner Cemetery, Mink Shoals.
