William "Greg" Gregory Cole

William Gregory “Greg” Cole, 70, of Cross Lanes, West Virginia, a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, passed away on August 30, 2026.

Greg was born March 13, 1956, to the late Robert Ernest and Helen Francis Viers Cole of Cross Lanes.

He attended Nitro High School and dedicated 37 years of service to Dow Chemical before retiring. In 1982, he married Diane Lynn Cole, and together they built a life and raised their two daughters. Greg worked hard for the life he built and found happiness in the simple things. He loved the family farm, a good joke, and being with the people who meant the most to him. His playful spirit and sense of humor gave his family countless stories and memories to cherish. He asked for little and treasured what he had. Of all the things he worked for throughout his life, nothing meant more to him than his family. His love will live on in his daughters and grandchildren, in the lessons he taught them, and in the laughter they will always remember.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane Lynn Cole; his parents; and his brother-in-law, Dusty Cottrell.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Madison Shea Cole of Cross Lanes and Jordan Laci Larwa (John “Tony”), of Ormond Beach, Florida; and his cherished grandchildren, Penelope Ann Calhoun of Charleston, WV, Kambria Chaos and Caspian Loki Larwa of Ormond Beach, FL. He is also survived by his siblings and their families: Lynn Neal (Rick) of Hurricane, WV; Sue Cottrell of Red House, WV; and Rob (Toni) Cole of Winfield, WV.

A memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the memorial service.
