Obituary

W. H. "Bill" Miller, 93, of Dunbar, passed away peacefully in his home away from home at SweetBriar on March 26, 2007 after living on Fletcher Avenue for over 60 years.

Bill was born on July 27, 1913 in Charlio, PA. He retired in 1970 from Union Carbide as a mechanic after 33 years of faithful service. He was also on the fire service squad at Carbide. Bill was a charter member of the Dunbar Church of the Nazarene and belonged to the Fiddlers Association in which he played the guitar every chance he got. He would sit and listen to Bluegrass for hours on end and he loved to go hunting for squirrel and rabbit.

Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Virginia, in March 2006; his father James A. Miller and mother, Belvie Miller of PA; and half-brother, Dick Miller of OH.

Bill is survived by his three beloved daughters, Charlotte Dorsey of Fort Mill, SC, Mary Cunningham of Scott Depot and Jeanette Gillespie of Charleston; six grandchildren, Dawn Morgan, Ben Cunningham, Rhonda Cunningham all of Teays Valley, W.C. Hill of Dunbar, Regina Whiteside of Fort Mill, SC and Tony Dorsey of Charlotte, NC; four step grandchildren; six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; and a half-brother, Jack Miller of Hurricane.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Philip Bowles officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 29, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
