William Seaton Hall, Jr., 87, of Dunbar, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, at his home.
He was born November 20, 1924 at Dawes, son of the late William S. and Doris Hall.
Mr. Hall graduated from WV Tech and earned his Masters Degree from Marshall University. He taught school at Enslow Junior High School in Huntington and retired from Detroit Steel of Portsmouth, OH. He then worked for the Kanawha County Board of Education until retirement in 1989.
Mr. Hall was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dunbar, where he served as head usher and as a deacon for two terms.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jo Thurmond Hall and by his son, John Marcus Hall.
Surviving are his loving wife of 24 years, Luvena Johnson Hall; sons, William S. Hall, III of Bath, NY, Brian David Hall and wife, Rhonda of Louisville, KY and Timothy Edward Hall of Hurricane; step-sons, John M. Edwards, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN and Toby Edwards and wife, Rhonda of Charleston; brothers, Ronald Hall of St. Albans, C. B. Hall and wife, Jenny of Belle and Jim Hall and wife, Linda of Columbia, SC; fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Also surviving is his "guardian angel," Brenda Keeling.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, October 1, at the First Baptist Church, Dunbar, with the Rev. Philip Shields officiating. Burial with masonic rites and military rites will be in Cunningham Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, September 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
