William "Will" Joesph Smith, 17, of Poca, went home to be with the Lord on May, 11, 2017.

He was born on September 17, 1999 in Charleston to Danny and Dawn Smith.

Will was a junior at Poca High School, where he was known for his joking, smile, and outward personality. He got his love of music from his dad and together they made it beautiful. He really loved fishing, kayaking, skeet shooting, archery and playing bluegrass music with many talented friends. He enjoyed being with his dogs, Huck and Bentley. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Will was preceded in death by his sister, Jo Ellen Smith; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his parents, Danny and Dawn Smith of Poca; brothers, Roy and DJ Smith of Poca; sister, Melissa Fields and husband Joey of Poca; niece and best friend, Autumn of Poca; nephews, RJ Skeens of Cross Lanes, Logan and Mason of Poca.

A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Poca High School, Poca.

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Poca High School.
