William Kerry Jordan 60, of Detroit, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023.

He was affectionately known as Kerry and was born on August 12, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York to William Jordan and Paza Medley.

Kerry attended Detroit Public School at an early age and graduated from Stonewall High School in Charleston. To know Kerry was to love him. He would give you the shirt off his back and would help anybody in need. He was a man of discipline, principles and a heart of gold. Family meant every thing to him. He was in the Army for 22 years and retired as a Sergeant First Class.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Paza Medley; grandmother, Mary Anderson; brother, Kevin Medley; sisters, Victoria Mills and Jewel Mitchell; and sister-in-law, Denise Medley.

Kerry is survived by his two sons, William Kerry Jordan Jr., and Torian K. Washington; sister, Debra Medley; and grandchildren, Kerrmya Jordan, Kamea Jordan, Javaeh Jordan; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 3, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.
