William D. "Bill" McMullen, 61, of Charleston, passed away Tuesday morning, April 13, 2021.

He was born on April 13. 1960 in Johnstown, PA.

Bill graduated college in 1982, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He spent over twenty years as a gas control engineer for Columbia Gas Transmissions.

He enjoyed Star Trek, reading science fiction, listening to classic rock music, golf, fishing, model airplanes and his beloved cats.

Bill always put the needs of others ahead of his own. His laughter and logic will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, William K. McMullen.

Bill is survived by his mother, Linda L. McMullen of Johnstown, PA; brothers, Robert McMullen (Kimberly) and Donald McMullen (Tamela) of Johnstown, PA; nieces, Jamie McMullen, Kaitlyn McMullen, Desiree Morris (Dan), and Olivia Neeper (Elliott). He will also be missed by his special friends, Jeff and Michelle Haye, Jerry and Margaret Miller, and Sam Carnes all in the Charleston area.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association, 1248 Greenbrier Street, Charleston, WV 25311.
