William Joseph Raglin, Sr., 76, resident of Dunbar, WV, passed away, November 25, 2013 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, after a short illness.
He was born in Cabell County, Huntington, November 17, 1937, to Mildred Raglin. He graduated Valedictorian from Douglass High School, and graduated Cum Laude with a BS Degree in Chemistry, at Marshall University, Huntington.
His professional career and community interest spanned over 40 years, Union Carbide, Rhone Poulenc, Kanawha County Board of Education, The Sub Area Planning Community in which he lived, and a host of others.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Raglin; wife, Brenda J. Raglin; and brother, Robert Raglin, Sr.
He is survived by his 4 children, William J. Raglin, Jr. (Marcia), Tempie L. Raglin, Karen Y. Johnson (Leon), Karen P. Lee (Calvin); 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and three special friends, Walter Greenhowe, Dennis Davis, and Jim Crawford.
Funeral services will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, at Basilica of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1032 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV 25301. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.
Visitation and viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to service.
