William Charles Riddle, 72, of Dunbar passed away on April 16, 2017.

Charlie graduated from Dunbar High School Class of 63 and attended Dunbar United Methodist ChurchHe served in the Army National Guard, Troop B 1 ^st Recon Squadron 150 ^th Armored Calvary. Charlie liked to work with his hands and was self-employed doing home repair and auto body and mechanical work. He was a caregiver for both his father and mother until their passing.

He enjoyed reading about history, restoring antique cars and liked bluegrass and gospel music. He was a self-taught pianist and guitar player. He loved his dogs, and was often seen walking them around Dunbar and surrounding areas.

He was preceded in death by parents; William Harold and Geraldine Mae Riddle.

Charlie is survived by his sister, Janet M. Dye of Dunbar; brother, Major Philip D. Riddle, U.S. Army (Ret) and his wife, Pamela Jean (Wolfe) Riddle of Knoxville, TN; niece, Christi Dye-Hayes and husband, George; nephews, James Dye II, Matthew Riddle, and Jack Riddle and wife, Heather; great nieces, Kendyll and McKenna Hayes and Elli Riddle; great nephews, Jacob and Joshua Dye and Caleb Riddle; sole surviving aunt, Arnetta Stover of Ohio; and numerous extended family.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Braley Care Home for their wonderful care and support.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Dr. Okey Harless officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
