William Salmon's Obituary
William "Bill" Salmon left for heaven on March 4, 2011.
Bill was born on April 27, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Talbert and Helen Duncan Wilkins Salmon and a brother-in-law, Harry Schroeder, Esquire.
Bill was a disabled veteran, having served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Bill was a graduate of Ole Miss with an accounting degree and later opened his own computer company. He was an avid chess player and participated in and won many chess tournaments.
Bill is survived by his wife, Della; step-daughters, Tammy Walker (Barry) and Ginger Cummings (Phil Severen); sister, Helen Schroeder; nephew, John Schroeder (Virginia); niece, Katherine Clark (Randy) and their children, Sarah and Drew and his 8 cats.
Bill will be entombed in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens with a memorial service to be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311 or to the ASPCA for Bill's love of animals.
