William "Bill" Douglas Steele, 58, of Charleston, departed this earth on Friday, September 10, 2010.

Bill was born in South Charleston, on June 6, 1952 to Denver and Phyllis Strobel Steele.

In addition to his mother, Phyllis of Dunbar, he is survived by his wife, Sharon of Charleston; step daughter, Billie Holcomb of Charleston; his precious little angel great niece, Caroline Faulkner of Dunbar; step grandsons, Michael and Nathaniel Mitchell of Charleston, Joshua Mitchell of Quantico, VA; sister, Jill Beaver of Dunbar; brother, Tim of Charleston; nieces, Brooke Steele of Dunbar, Brittany Steele of Charleston, and Dana Beaver of Dunbar; nephew, Travis Beaver of Dunbar; and great nephew, Silas Beaver of Dunbar.

Bill was a former district manager for McJunkin Corp. He served as former president of Dunbar Jaycees and was a former Dunbar City Councilman. He was also a volunteer for Manna Meals.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 16, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
