Obituary

William A. Wilkinson, Jr., of Dunbar, passed away at his daughter's home in Cross Lanes on Wednesday, November 28, 2007.

He was a retired carpenter with the Carpenter's Union #1207 with 50 years of service. Mr. Wilkinson was a member of the Dunbar First Baptist Church where he served on the Board of Deacons and was past Chairman of the Board of Trustees and past president of the KVA Baptist Men. He worked with the Boy Scouts for 25 years and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. Mr. Wilkinson was a US Navy veteran having served in WW II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leoma, his brothers, Walter and Charles Wilkinson, sisters, Gladys Barnhart and Jessie Young and his grandson, Jimmy Lee Wilkinson.

Surviving are his sons, Benny E. of Virginia Beach, Va., Timothy E. of Orlando, Fla., William H. of St. Albans and Herbert Lee of Dunbar; daughter, Sandra J. Tinsley of Cross Lanes; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 1, at the Dunbar First Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas E. Stevens, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
