William R. Workman's Obituary
William R. "Rick" Workman, 64, of Alkol, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at CAMC- Memorial Hospital.
He was a coal miner, retired after 35 years of service. Mr. Workman was also a Vietnam veteran having served as a member of the Green Berets.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Workman.
Surviving are his children, Cindy Brown and her husband, Charles of Cross Lanes, Chris Workman and his wife, Dee of Australia and Shawn Workman and his wife, Ashley of Alkol; mother, Dorothy Workman of Virginia Beach, Va; grandchildren, Amanda and Charles Brown, III, Aaliyah and Jesse James Workman and Kerissa Workman; brother, Tom Workman and wife, Nancy of VA; sister, Rosie Eppling and husband, Terry of California.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Doyle D. Smith officiating.
