Obituary

Willie W. "TOM" Asbury, 82, of Cross Lanes, passed away Nov. 5, 2006, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.

Tom was a Christian and loved his family. He was loved by all who knew him. He was a retired auto body repairman and was a member of Baber Agee United Methodist Church. Tom loved to hunt and fish and was a lifelong resident of Tyler Mountain. He served his country in the US Navy during WW II.

He was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Mundy.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Virginia Brannon Asbury; daughters, Sharon Asbury Cundiff of Cross Lanes and Connie Asbury Holmes and her husband, Brent of Odenton, MD; sister, Dorothy Rhodes of Pinellas Park, FL; grandchildren, Angela Hammons and her husband, Jimmy, Candace Kraus and her husband, Brian, Chuck Boling Mundy, Allison Humphries and her husband, Sonnie, Kristina Flores and her husband, Cesar, Tina Kirk and her husband, Kevin, Tammi "Tom" Mundy, Aaron and Chance Holmes; great grandchildren, Jake, Jessali, Isaac, Nikki, Taylor, Eli, Luke, Kevin, Cruz and Logan. The family will soon be blessed by a new granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 12, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Robert Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Asbury Family Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, November 11, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
