Zachary Ian McCutcheon, 24, of Sissonville, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, December 28, 2023.

He was born on June 20, 1999 in Charleston, his parents are Michael and Danielle McCutcheon.

Zach grew up in Sissonville and he loved spending time on his grandparent's farm. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing and riding dirt bikes. At the age of four he began his love for basketball and baseball. He was dedicated and excelled in sports all the way through high school. Zach was very loving to his family, especially his two children, Raelyn and Royce, whom he adored. He was always faithful to his sister, Zoey, when she needed him the most.

Zach is preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond McCutcheon; his great grandparents, Edmond and Shirley Burdette; and his uncle, Richard Payne.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Michael and Danielle McCutcheon; children, Raelyn and Royce McCutcheon; sister, Zoey McCutcheon; grandparents, Danny and Linda Legg, Jeanne McCutcheon; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, in the gymnasium at Sissonville High School, Sissonville. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Friends may visit from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, in the gymnasium at Sissonville High School, Sissonville.
