Zenna June Goldman, 75, of Dunbar passed peacefully away on Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.
Born August 16, 1936, in Cedar Grove, Mrs. Goldman was a daughter of the late Columbus and Sarah Martin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Goldman; brother, Milton Lawrence Martin; and sisters, Helen Douglas and Noreda Coakley.
She spent most of her life in Dunbar where she was a devoted homemaker and loving mother of three children and grandmother of five grandchildren. She dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for the children of friends in her home. Her family and friends will always treasure the laughter she brought them.
Zenna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ed Long of Charleston; daughter and son-in-law, Mobra and Dwight Hooper of Orlando, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Susan Goldman of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Bianca, Deke, and Caleb Hooper of Florida; Casey and Erica Long of Charleston; sisters, Melissa Wilson of Elkview, Brenda Davis of Charleston, Joyce Lafferty of Corbin, KY, Carol Miley of Cross Lanes; brother, Harold Loudermilk and Roy Martin of Elkhart, IN and Thomas Martin of Orange City, FL as well as great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Montgomery Elderly Care and Hubbard Hospice House for their kindness and excellent care.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at Montgomery Memorial Park in London.
